A birth plan lets your midwives and doctors know what preferences you have, for example for pain relief. The basics of a birth plan can be easy enough to put down on paper; although they may be more difficult to implement once you’re in labour. Always remember that no birth plan should be set in stone. It needs to be flexible as you might want or need to change your plan, depending on how your labour progresses.
